Hand-held, personal breath alcohol tester, which is designed to measure an individual’s blood alcohol concentration at one point in time. The subject should exhale firmly into the mouthpiece to being testing for approximately six seconds or until the audio tone stops, then the electronic signal produced by an individual’s breath alcohol is converted into a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level. BAC reading is indicated on the LED bar graph, and the LEDs are divided into the following three-colour ranges: Green - Generally legal in most jurisdictions, Yellow - Warning level, approaching legal impairment, Red - Danger level above legal impairment , BAC reading in the red range may present a danger to safe driving.
