Mercury actuated dial thermometers measure the temperature of an object regardless of the exterior temperature of environment. There are two types: a remote reading type and a rigid stem type. These temperatures are compensated for ambient temperature. The section from the bulb to the Bourdon tube of the thermometer is filled with mercury that is under pressure. Any temperature change around the bulb will cause the Bourdon tube to move thereby creating a change in the indicator needle.
These thermometers are sturdily constructed to precision specifications and thoroughly inspected before packing. Resistant to shocks and vibrations.
