The raceways of these bearings have a high shoulder on one side and a very low shoulder on the other side and the inner and outer raceways are assembled opposite to each other so that the bearings are primarily designated to carry thrust load in one direction. This construction permits use of the optimum number and size of balls for maximum load capacity. Since these bearings will carry thrust load in one direction only, they are usually mounted in a pair opposed to each other and the axial clearance is adjusted by shims, threaded members, or preloading springs. The standard contact angle is 30° and bearings made to 40° contact angle have the suffix “B”. Series 7300. 30o Angular Contact
